Our Mission: We exist to fund special projects and services of the Impact Church in the inner city of Houston using Christ's example when helping the hungry, homeless and discouraged break the cycle of poverty through education, support, and training, both spiritually and physically.
The Vision: This foundation operates for charitable and educational purposes. We function independently of the Impact Houston Church of Christ and yet we provide financial support for certain of their special projects and services. One primary area of service is providing financial support to make it possible for the church's inner city youths to attend college. We believe in both mental and spiritual education and we believe college can help them break out of the cycle of poverty. Money is just one factor keeping them from going to college, but it is a key factor. Our desire is to help the poor and outcast without judging or blaming them. This help includes education about how to do better in everyday choices, getting and keeping a job and making good financial decisions. It is a command of God to help those in need because of love and the Impact church has unlimited opportunities to do this. What is limited is the money that is essential to make good things happen in meeting the needs. This foundation exists to assist in finding the funds to meet the needs. History:
- The Foundation was incorporated on April 23, 2007 and was made a 501(c)(3) organization on August 8, 2008.
